We recognize that different users have different expectations or requirements for their floral media. The goal of OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media was to create a stable floral media out of natural materials that is OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL and delivers very good flower life.

We have tested a range of flowers and have met or exceeded that flower life goal. The reason we do not claim “excellent” flower life is because OASIS® Floral Foam offers longer flower life which is considered “excellent” in the marketplace. We have not seen any commercially viable bricks like this, particularly ones that could offer flower life and stability for arranging flowers. The “natural” options in the market - often incorporating a water source - require daily change of water. We also considered the design and flower life needs of cemeteries which require OK compost HOME materials to be used in floral designs and the flower life requirements for those arrangements. As we suggest with all floral media, saturate the OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media with a solution made of water and FloraLife® Flower Food, which will further enhance flower life.

OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media safe for flowers? We have conducted frequent, repeated tests in our research labs and have found the product to be safe for flowers. Flower life, stem burn, and leaf yellowing test results all fall within the range we deem acceptable.

When developing this product, we prioritized a single shape and size so that we could perfect the formulation and manufacturing process. We welcome your ideas for additional sizes, shapes and articles that would be useful for you.

The tray helps to protect the bricks during shipment. You can use the tray in the design if you want, however it will not hold water like a typical vase or container.

Cutting and arranging the bricks in a container prior to saturating them results in a cleaner workspace. Oversaturated bricks are also more difficult to cut cleanly. If you prefer to float-saturate OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media, do not force them under the surface of the water. We recommend removing the bricks from the tray before float-saturation.

Theoretically you can reuse OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media as a design media, though inserted stems create holes that do not fully close when a stem is removed. This will affect the integrity of its grip. OASIS® TerraBrick® Floral Media can be reused in pots or the garden.

We advise storing it in a dry environment.

Yes, it has been certified as both OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL by TUV Austria. This certification is valid globally. TUV Austria is a third-party certifying agency. We had testing completed by an independent laboratory, and those results were provided to TUV Austria for review and certification. Only the floral media (bricks) are OK compost HOME and OK compost INDUSTRIAL.
